She has realized over the years that hope comes from Jesus, and she cannot bring herself to write a book that doesn’t feature his teachings. The author uses her personal experiences with her faith to tell stories. More importantly, she was determined to use her gift to bring God’s word to the masses. But she abandoned the position when her father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis entered the picture.īarritt moved back home and realized that writing was her true calling. Eventually, she secured a job at a publishing house. She continued to experiment with storytelling throughout college. Barritt had no idea what she was doing.įortunately, quitting never occurred to her. She penned many books that never saw the light of day because, at the time, the author was making things up as she went. The stories delivered God’s truths in ways she had never encountered before.īy the time she reached high school, Barritt was already writing. ![]() ![]() Later on, Christian fiction came along and changed her life.īarritt’s mother encouraged her to devour the genre because Christian novels were not only safe but beneficial to her impressionable mind.
